This is Maharashtra’s answer to all Multi-Grain breads of the World!

A perfect snack is the best bridge between Day and Night. This is our Maharashtra’s answer to all the multi-grain breads of the world – Thalipeeth. 


It’s very common for us to store the mix in a jar. The Jar of Good Health. Each time we’re in need of an instant snack, we take out some and prepare the dough. A mix of daals, wheat, rice, coriander, onion, carom seeds and basic spices. This dish is meant to mesmerise.

And who is the SRK of this dish? Loni. My Aaji (grandmother) used to swear by this combination and I exactly know why. Loni has its magical way of calming your gut in this heat and Thalipeeth ensures you’re having a good treat!

Thalipeeth khaa, mast rahaa!

For those eyes drooling over it, here’s the recipe..

Ingredients:

3 tbsp Jowar flour (White Millet)

3 tbsp Besan (Bengal Gram Flour)

3 tbsp Wheat Flour

1 chopped Tomato

1 chopped Onion

Green Chillies

Coriander

Salt to taste

Oil 

Home Made White Butter (Dip) 
Method: 
Mix the ingredients and add water to make a thick batter. 
On a greased non-stick tava, spread a layer of the batter and form a pancake about 4mm thick. 
Cook on both sides till golden brown and serve with a dollop of home made white butter!
