He also wrote about how he sometimes unknowingly and unintentionally ignored his wife like once when he was being photographed at a function, he left his wife’s hand and went ahead to the press, it was only later that he realized that she wasn’t around him. Naseeruddin Shah found it very difficult to juggle personal and business life after he got married to a 34 year old Pakistani named Purveen, he also fathered a daughter at the time. At this tender age of 19, he left for Delhi to join the National school of Drama. During the time he explains himself in his book as insecure, and resentful towards his daughter as he wasn’t ready for such a responsibility just yet. Eventually he lost all contact with his daughter and also with his wife. His daughter then left for London and he didn’t see her for another 12 years.

She writes about an interesting instance when she turned down a lucrative offer of a movie called Abhijan from Satyajit Ray, the actress admits that she had to turn down the movie just because the Bengali filmmaker couldn’t afford to cast her as his budget for the movie was low and he couldn’t afford to pay her that much.

Very few were aware of the sour relationship between Sharughan Sinha and Ambitabh Bachchan. But after the former released his book Anything But Khamosh: The Shatrughan Sinha Biography, readers seemed taken aback when they learned about the messy affairs that existed between such sought after and legendary superstars of Bollywood cinema. Shatrughan accused Amitabh of being jealous of his success and also pointed out some shocking incidents between the two on set, for example he said that Bachchan would beat him up in action sequences and others would have to intervene to break them up. He also shared that Bachchan wouldn’t share his car or umbrella with his co star. This came as a huge blow to Amitabh fans.
